Scholarship Program

The Julia A. Giardina, DDS, MSD (Giardina Orthodontics) Scholarship Program annually awards two nonrenewable $1,000 scholarships. These scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors eligible for educational institutions, with $500 distributed each semester (fall and spring following graduation). The application form is to be completed by the student, guardian and school official after the first semester GPA has been determined. 

Selection Criteria and Eligibility

• Applicants must be a member of the current graduating class of Harrisonburg City and Rockingham County.
• Applications will be accepted from graduating seniors planning to attend an institution of higher learning for at least one year.
• All applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale at the end of their senior fall semester for consideration for this scholarship.
• Scholarship recipients will be determined based on essays, academic achievement, and participation in school and community activities.
• All decisions of the Scholarship Committee are final.

• Attach a senior photo

The application with all supportive materials must be emailed or mailed no later than April 1st.
